5 Instagram hacks that will save you time

My whole goal in life is to help busy entrepreneurs and freelancers create engaging content that moves them closer to their business goals — without having to spend hours on it. Content creation is something that people tend to see as a hassle, a secondary priority for when they're done with their 'real' work...

But it doesn't have to be that way. Done right, your online content can actually help you achieve your business goals, whether that's brand awareness, increased leads + sales, or establishing yourself as an expert in your field.

Here, we share some of our favourite and under-hyped tools that will make your Instagram life so much easier.

Seriously, this website is life-changing. You copy and paste your IG caption into it, and it converts it so that it the lines are properly spaced. No more using emojis or full stops to break things up — your captions will be more readable, and since the algorithm tracks how long people spend reading your caption, this will boost your profile. You can thank me later!

💡Over⁣ ⁣

My favourite app for simple graphic design stuff. Others love Canva, but since I love to be #cool and #different, I prefer Over. It’s easier to use, so give it a go!⁣

💡Unsplash

A great resource for stock images. This website uses an open source model, so you don’t have to credit the photographer, and they’re fine for use across all your social media content.

💡Downloadgram

A website that lets you download photos from Instagram to reuse on your own profile (like I did with this very photo!!). Make sure you credit the original creator. ⁣ ⁣

💡Remove.BG⁣ ⁣

This website is one of my fave secret gems. Let’s say there’s a pic from your family summer holiday of you standing in front of the Colosseum. You’re looking unusually skinny, it’s a fab angle and you’ve got a perfect professional semi-smile on your face — one that you could never replicate. Pop the photo into this website, and it will remove the background for you. Then put the new photo in Over, and add a nice plain background. Voila — free headshots!
